1. Shaotang Saves Shin
A flashback revealed the moment Shin awakened his future-sight ability. At the time, Wutang had explained that when a person consciously thinks about moving their body, their subconscious has already planned the muscle movements beforehand.
Sakamoto had understood Wutang’s point, adding that this process happens incredibly fast—in mere milliseconds. Physical movement isn’t spontaneous; it follows a sequence of thought and signal transmission before the actual motion occurs. Sakamoto referred to this fraction of a second as the deciding moment between life and death.
According to Wutang, if Shin could use his esper abilities to read past the subconscious calculations, he would become nearly impossible for anyone to defeat.
Back in the present, Shin punched Saw, sending him stumbling backward. However, as Shin charged forward to deliver the finishing blow, his body suddenly gave out, exhausted from overusing his newly awakened power.
Saw seized the opening, throwing his rope to ensnare Shin’s body. He yanked Shin closer, rearing his axe back for a lethal strike. But Shaotang suddenly appeared behind Saw, shoving the back of his head and sending him tumbling forward. Shin was saved.
2. Drunken Mafia Fist
Shin was stunned when he looked at Shaotang. Her facial expression and tone of voice had completely changed; it was as if she were an entirely different person. Shin picked up the empty ethanol bottle from the floor, realizing she had chugged the entire thing.
However, he only knew of her three usual drunken fighting styles: raging drunk, crying drunk, and laughing drunk. This time, Shin realized Shaotang was utilizing an entirely new style: the Drunken Mafia Fist.
Shaotang leaped into the air, driving her knee brutally into Saw’s head. She slammed him face-down onto the floor, then casually sat on his back. She drove a small trowel straight into Saw’s wrist, making him scream in agony.
Saw begged Shaotang for mercy, promising he would never bother them again. Shaotang coldly asked if Saw had ever shown mercy to the victims he killed. Terrified, Saw scrambled up and tried to run away. But Shin was already blocking his path. Shin jumped up, grabbing a ladder, and smashed it over Saw’s back, driving him back down to the floor.
Shin and Shaotang stood together, looking down at Saw, who now lay unconscious on the ground.
3. Hyo Eliminates Saw
Taking advantage of Shin and Shaotang, who had collapsed onto the floor from sheer exhaustion, Saw slipped out of the hardware store. Limping heavily and clutching his wounded wrist, he hailed a cab on the street, desperately demanding to be taken to the airport. However, the driver, Dadang, told him he couldn’t take the fare because he already had a passenger.
After violently forcing his way in, Saw sat in the front passenger seat next to Dadang. Hyo, who was sitting in the back seat, calmly asked if Saw was in a hurry. Saw arrogantly replied that Hyo could be dropped off after him.
Unbeknownst to Saw, Hyo was a member of the Order, actively hunting him down. Hyo instantly punched Saw in the face, killing him in a fraction of a second. Hyo then stepped out of the taxi and casually walked away.
4. The Floaters
When Shin and Shaotang woke up, they realized Saw had escaped. Moments later, a squad of Floaters approached them, informing the duo that Saw was already dead.
Shaotang was confused—what were Floaters? Shin explained that whenever JAA assassins fought and caused collateral damage in public spaces, the Floaters—a specialized division within the JAA—stepped in to repair all the destruction, restoring the location to exactly how it was before.
Shin and Shaotang watched as the Floater squad worked diligently to rebuild the wrecked interior of the hardware store. Shin added that working as a Floater was often a side job for assassin trainees still in the academy.
5. Osaragi Meets Dump
Osaragi visited a Shinto shrine. Standing in front of the suzu (shrine bell), she rang it and prayed to the gods for the chance to eliminate the death row inmates. Suddenly, Dump appeared right behind her. Dump extended a single, massive spike from her palm, striking Osaragi and forcing her to stumble backward into the honden (main sanctuary).
Osaragi survived the lethal strike thanks to a single coin she used to block the spike, though the coin itself was now pierced straight through. She thanked the gods, feeling her prayer had been answered immediately.
Following the attack, Osaragi and Dump faced off at close range in the haiden (worship hall). Dump prepared to unleash more spikes from her body. Osaragi firmly stated that she would eliminate Dump in the name of the Order. Without hesitation, Dump launched three spikes simultaneously, forcing Osaragi to stagger further back into the honden. This time, she barely survived by deflecting the attack with her handbag.
Dump questioned why Osaragi, who was also a killer, felt she had the right to pass judgment. Osaragi offered an analogy: if a bug sneaks into her house—the JAA—then as a member of the Order, she acts as an electric fly swatter, stepping in to exterminate the pest.
6. Osaragi Analyzes Dump’s Power
Inside the honden, Osaragi leaped into the air to dodge Dump’s elongated spikes. But Dump immediately aimed for Osaragi’s handbag, launching it completely out of the honden. The bag flew through the air, landing far away in the senbon torii (thousand torii gates) area.
Dump unleashed a relentless barrage of spikes, forcing Osaragi to continuously retreat to dodge them. While on the defensive, Osaragi analyzed Dump’s porcupine-like anatomy: one spike on each hand and six protruding from her torso. Through this observation, she finally understood exactly how Dump’s ability worked.
Osaragi kept backing away from the assault until she reached the suzu, her back hitting the bell rope. She yanked the rope until the bell snapped off, then kicked it straight at Dump. The heavy bell slammed into Dump’s stomach, launching her through the honden’s wall and sending her plummeting down into the shrine courtyard below.
7. Osaragi Defeats Dump
Dump thought back on her past. When a cat took a liking to her, she killed it. When men confessed their love or a best friend expressed affection, she killed them too.
To Dump, killing them meant she would remain the only one in the hearts of those who loved her—because once a person dies, their thoughts stop completely. She did it all to avoid ever experiencing the pain of a broken heart.
Back in the present, Osaragi and Dump faced off once again in the senbon torii area. Osaragi leaped forward, delivering a brutal kick to Dump’s face that sent her crashing into a torii gate. Osaragi kept kicking, following Dump as her body bounced violently from one torii gate to the next.
After being tossed around, Dump managed to stand back up, though she was panting heavily and clearly overwhelmed. Osaragi walked casually toward her, unexpectedly spotting her handbag near one of the gates. She picked it up and pulled out her buzzsaw weapon. Moving with blinding speed, Osaragi swung the saw into Dump’s body, killing her instantly.
8. Tokyo Tower
At Tokyo Tower, Heisuke called Sakamoto, informing him that he was having trouble locating the four death row inmates. Meanwhile, Piisuke flew high above, circling the Tokyo Tower area to search for them from the sky.
After hanging up the phone, Heisuke stared at the photographs of the four inmates in his hand. He stepped over to the observation binoculars, scanning the detailed cityscape of Tokyo, closely observing the people and buildings below in hopes of spotting the targets.
9. Apart Attacks Kashima
In a hotel lobby, Kashima paced while on a call with Slur, reporting that two of the death row inmates had already been killed. Despite the losses, he affirmed that their plan to draw out the Order had succeeded, and he suggested they move on to the next phase.
As Kashima opened the door to his hotel room, Apart suddenly ambushed him from behind, ready to wrap his deadly threads around Kashima’s neck. Kashima’s phone dropped to the floor.
Apart demanded to know Kashima’s true motives. Kashima calmly asked what he meant.
Apart confessed that he wanted to die because Kashima made no effort to truly understand him. He believed that human beings could never be truly understood until they completely poured their hearts out. Apart thanked Kashima for breaking him out of prison, but firmly stated that he refused to be used by anyone.
Without hesitation, Apart swung his threads, slicing Kashima’s body into multiple pieces. Assuming Kashima was dead, he turned and walked away. However, Kashima survived, as he was entirely a cyborg. Coldly, Kashima remarked that if Apart couldn’t be controlled, he could become a liability to their plans. From the dropped phone on the floor, Slur’s voice echoed, ordering Kashima to let Apart do whatever he pleased.
10. Minimalist at the Convenience Store
Meanwhile, Minimalist walked into Sakamoto’s convenience store. He stepped inside and found Aoi alone at the checkout counter. Minimalist stared at her coldly, prompting Aoi to ask him if he was looking for something in particular.
