1. The Turbo Granny Returns Okarun’s Sausage
Flashlight in hand, Okarun and Momo stepped into the haunted tunnel. Okarun reminded Momo of their goal: to lure the Turbo Granny out of Shono City and sever her connection to the bound spirit. Without that anchor, she would weaken, giving them a real chance to defeat her.
Suddenly, two giant faces of the Turbo Granny materialized right in front of and behind them. They were completely boxed in, making escape impossible.
Knowing he was their only shot, Okarun asked Momo to release his curse so he could fight. He transformed, even though he was certain he couldn’t beat the entity. Momo was already bracing herself, knowing his personality always turned heavily pessimistic in this state.
But just as suddenly, Okarun’s transformation vanished. He reverted to his normal self, and Momo realized the cursed energy had entirely dissipated from his body. The Turbo Granny gloated, explaining that she had returned Okarun’s “sausage,” which automatically lifted the curse.
She admitted she hadn’t expected Okarun to weaponize her own curse to transform, and she was deeply displeased that he had used her power against her.
2. Momo Challenges the Turbo Granny
Looming on both sides, the Turbo Granny’s twin giant faces opened their mouths wide, preparing to eat them alive. In that critical moment, Momo remembered Seiko’s advice. She immediately challenged the Turbo Granny to a footrace. “You’re a coward if you back down!” Momo yelled.
The provocation worked perfectly. Stalling her attack, the Turbo Granny accepted the challenge, confidently declaring she couldn’t possibly lose.
Momo quickly laid out the rules: no finish line and no special conditions. She and Okarun would run, and the Turbo Granny had to chase them. If she caught them, she won. It was a simple game of high-stakes tag.
Momo demanded the Turbo Granny count for ten minutes before giving chase, to which the spirit agreed. However, as Momo and Okarun sprinted out of the tunnel, the Turbo Granny blatantly cheated. Instead of waiting ten minutes, she simply counted from one to ten in a matter of seconds.
The Turbo Granny immediately launched her attack. Hundreds of ghostly hands burst from the tunnel floor, swarming Okarun and Momo as they desperately tried to escape. Momo was caught. Her body was engulfed by a mass of hands that formed into a fleshy, living cocoon, trapping her completely.
3. The Turbo Granny Trapped in Okarun’s Body
As the Turbo Granny prepared to snatch Okarun, he suddenly lunged forward, tackling her and biting her “melon.” The Turbo Granny screamed hysterically, demanding he stop biting it. Okarun flatly refused, vowing he wouldn’t let go until Momo was freed.
The Turbo Granny quickly realized her physical attacks were useless against him; Okarun was wearing the specialized combat gear designed to ward off evil spirits. To bypass it, she turned into her spirit form and possessed him instead. Once she seized control of his body, she violently tore off the protective suit.
Suddenly, Okarun’s possessed body collapsed to its knees. The Turbo Granny cried out, feeling an excruciating pain in her chest. Trapped inside the fleshy cocoon, Momo had managed to control her aura using her sense of touch. She was ruthlessly crushing the Turbo Granny’s spirit inside Okarun’s body, causing the evil entity immense agony.
Momo declared that even without sight, she could feel the Turbo Granny’s presence inside him through her tactile senses. Realizing the threat, the Turbo Granny leaped up and launched a devastating kick at the trapped Momo. The impact shattered the fleshy cocoon, setting Momo free.
However, Momo immediately summoned her green aura, shaping it into two giant hands. She crushed the Turbo Granny’s spirit once more, shrinking its energy until it could no longer control Okarun. Suppressed, the spirit was locked inside him, allowing Okarun to regain control of his body. Ultimately, the Turbo Granny’s kick failed to harm Momo.
4. The Bound Spirit Chases Momo & Okarun
The Turbo Granny’s spirit emerged from Okarun’s neck, taking the shape of a gelatinous eel head, and begged Momo to release her. Suddenly, the tunnel’s bound spirit—revealed to be a gigantic crab—materialized, demanding they let the Turbo Granny go. The giant crab instantly charged at them. Panicking, Okarun and Momo ran for their lives, sprinting to finally escape the haunted tunnel.
Bursting into the open air, they kept running down the street. To evade the relentless giant crab, Okarun quickly transformed, threw Momo onto his back, and sprinted at top speed. Meanwhile, Momo kept a tight grip on the jelly-like Turbo Granny to prevent her from escaping Okarun’s body.
While running, Okarun accidentally crashed into a roadside guardrail, launching them both high into the air. Panic seized Momo as they soared helplessly upward. They were about to plummet from a dizzying height; the city below looked like a scattering of miniature toys.
Mid-air, Okarun spun his legs like helicopter blades. Though a temporary fix, the maneuver slowed their descent just enough. They crashed onto the street below, miraculously unharmed.
The giant crab landed heavily nearby and resumed its pursuit. To the oblivious bystanders around them, however, it simply looked like Okarun was running down the street giving Momo a piggyback ride. Ordinary people couldn’t see the monstrous bound spirit chasing them.
5. Boiling the Crab
Okarun warned Momo that his transformation was about to wear off, and he only had one use left before hitting his daily limit. Panicking, Momo cried out that she didn’t want to be eaten by a crab—if anything, she wanted to eat crab.
Spotting a nearby bathhouse, Momo directed Okarun to run inside. They plunged straight into a massive hot spring pool just as Okarun’s transformation completely gave out.
The giant crab crashed into the bathhouse, looming over them in the water. Thinking fast, Momo used her aura hands to snap a boiling water pipe high up on the wall. Scalding hot water blasted directly onto the giant crab.
Just like boiling a normal crab—where the meat tightens and the muscles harden—the scalding water stiffened the monster’s body, drastically slowing it down and making it struggle to move.
6. The Escape
As they desperately tried to flee Shono City, Okarun and Momo were ambushed by a massive horde of possessed humans sprinting toward them like zombies. The chaotic, terrifying sight sent them into a panic, forcing them to run even faster to avoid being caught.
The Turbo Granny reappeared, declaring she would never let them leave the city. She revealed she had raised an army from a massive cemetery on the city’s outskirts, borrowing the power of the spirits there to possess the human horde now hunting them down.
While running, Momo tripped and fell. Looking back, she saw hundreds of possessed humans alongside the giant crab closing in. Frantic, she begged Okarun to transform immediately so they could escape.
Okarun instantly transformed, hoisted Momo onto his back, and sprinted furiously to break through the encirclement. Mid-escape, Momo used her aura hands to grab a high-voltage transmission tower, swinging them like Tarzan. The momentum launched them both high into the air.
But Momo panicked when Okarun lost his transformation while they were still airborne. They were about to plummet from a lethal height. Fortunately, Momo shaped her aura hands into giant bird wings, furiously flapping them to slow their descent. They managed to land safely on the street, right beneath a railway viaduct.
7. Turbo Granny vs. The Train
Momo suddenly realized she had let go of the Turbo Granny. A moment later, the spirit materialized, swiftly kicking Okarun unconscious before kicking Momo away.
The Turbo Granny stood triumphantly before the horde of possessed humans and the giant crab. Wasting no time, she possessed the crab herself, merging with the bound spirit to create an even more horrifying monstrosity.
The Turbo Granny mocked them, noting they had almost made it out of Shono City. But before they could cross the border, she fully intended to eat them both.
Acting quickly, Momo reached out with her aura hands and grabbed a train passing over the viaduct. Lifting the unconscious Okarun, she hoisted them both into the air and landed safely on the train’s roof.
Momo knew the Turbo Granny’s top speed was 100 kilometers per hour, while the Takasaki line train maxed out at 120. She was confident the spirit couldn’t catch them. Standing atop the speeding train car, Momo taunted the crab-mutated Turbo Granny for being too slow to keep up.
8. Welcome to Kamigoe City
To Momo’s shock, the Turbo Granny managed to leap onto the train’s roof. She gloated that the train had slowed down around a curve, allowing her to close the gap. Unfazed, Momo retorted that the spirit had just boarded the exact train that would lead to her defeat.
Momo immediately clamped down with her aura hands, locking the Turbo Granny in place.
A few meters down the track, Seiko watched the approaching train carrying Momo, Okarun, and the Turbo Granny. She had already plastered a row of talismans across an overhead catenary pole. “Welcome to Kamigoe City,” Seiko said, before walking away from the tracks.
The moment the train passed under the talisman-covered pole, the giant crab bound spirit and the Turbo Granny violently exploded, engulfed in spiritual flames. As the monster burned, Momo watched a stream of young girls’ spirits gently float out from the crab’s disintegrating body.
9. The Rules
Seiko admitted she hadn’t wanted to use such brutal methods to exterminate the bound spirit and the Turbo Granny. She explained that many girls around Momo’s age had been abused and had their bodies dumped in the haunted tunnel. Deep down, none of them had ever wanted to become evil spirits.
Paying their respects, Momo, Okarun, and Seiko visited the haunted tunnel to pray for the souls of the victims who had lost their lives there.
Seiko also revealed that spirit mediums had been hunting the Turbo Granny for a long time. The entity always appeared in locations where girls had died unnatural deaths. Most likely, she wandered around comforting the souls of girls who couldn’t cross over to the afterlife on their own.
According to Seiko, the dead should not attack the living. Because of that, she was forced to forcefully send the girls’ spirits to the afterlife. However, the living shouldn’t disrespect the dead, either. If someone trespassed in their territory without respect, it was only natural they’d be attacked. That was the fundamental rule allowing the living and the dead to coexist side by side.
10. See You Tomorrow
That evening, Seiko and Momo hosted a dinner to celebrate, serving a main course of crab as a feast for Okarun. Okarun, however, had zero appetite for it, having just fought a giant crab spirit.
Seiko casually asked if Okarun’s “sausage” had returned, and Okarun confirmed it had. However, he frantically refused when Seiko demanded he show it to her to prove it.
After dinner, Momo stood at the front door watching Okarun, who was holding his bicycle, getting ready to head home. Okarun awkwardly said, “Goodbye,” and Momo replied, “Goodbye.”
A quiet moment passed between them as they pondered the finality of the word. Then, Momo spoke up again, “See you tomorrow.”
Okarun smiled brightly and replied, “Yeah.”
