1. Okarun
Momo suddenly threw a fit, thrashing wildly on the street. She stubbornly refused to accept Okarun’s real name.
Without warning, Okarun was possessed by the Turbo Granny’s spirit once again and pleaded for Momo’s help. Acting quickly, Momo neutralized the cursed energy, returning him to normal.
On the way to the haunted tunnel, Momo declared that since he was so obsessed with the occult, she would just keep calling him “Okarun.” She didn’t want to hear him say his real name, and Okarun agreed.
However, morning had already broken. They quickly realized the Turbo Granny wouldn’t appear during the day.
2. Okarun’s Missing Sausage
Momo invited Okarun to her house, warning him to be careful because her grandmother was fiercely hostile toward men.
But as Okarun walked through the torii gate, his body suddenly burst into flames. Reacting instantly, Momo used her esper powers to forcefully shove him into a nearby water-filled ditch, extinguishing the fire.
Momo then noticed a talisman attached to one of the torii gate’s pillars. After peeling it off, she told Okarun to try entering again. Though hesitant, he successfully passed through the gate unharmed.
Momo called out for her grandmother, but the house was empty. She welcomed Okarun inside.
Once indoors, Momo told Okarun to check if his “sausage” was truly gone, as the Turbo Granny had claimed the curse was tied to its theft. Okarun checked his pants and recoiled in shock—his “sausage” was actually missing.
3. Okarun Admits He Wants to Be Friends
Momo asked Okarun not to blame her for his missing “sausage,” reminding him that she had never been interested in his occult obsession to begin with.
Okarun suddenly turned serious. He confessed that he hadn’t wanted to miss the chance to befriend her, as he had longed for a friend for a very long time.
He admitted he had been too pushy with the conversation, trying desperately to grab her attention so they could be friends—using the excuse that she must like aliens just because she had touched his UFO book.
Okarun apologized for dragging Momo into danger. He told her she was free to ignore and forget about him once they dealt with the Turbo Granny.
Annoyed, Momo snapped back. She called his attitude infuriating, accusing him of jumping to conclusions about others and shutting himself off. As far as she was concerned, the real reason he had no friends was that he always chose to push people away.
4. The Talisman
The doorbell suddenly rang. Okarun assumed Momo’s grandmother had returned, but Momo admitted it was the first time she had ever heard that specific chime. She recalled her grandmother mentioning that their doorbell had two distinct tones: one for humans, and one for evil spirits.
Momo realized the bell might have been triggered by her removing the talisman from the torii gate. Wasting no time, she grabbed the charm and asked Okarun to help her reattach it to the pillar to incinerate whatever evil spirit had arrived.
But Okarun warned her not to place the talisman until he had safely exited the property. As they stepped into the yard, Momo and Okarun were suddenly trapped inside a mysterious, wall-like domain that enclosed the entire grounds.
Reaching the torii gate, Okarun frantically told Momo to hold off on the talisman. The gate was completely sealed off, buried behind the impenetrable wall of the domain, leaving Okarun with no way out.
5. Okarun Gets an Idea
Momo and Okarun suddenly got nosebleeds. Momo realized the cause was the black mist permeating the domain, which they had been unwittingly inhaling.
Out of nowhere, a massive, ten-foot-tall alien dressed as a sumo wrestler loomed before them and threw a devastating punch. Okarun and Momo barely dodged, allowing the alien’s strike to blow a hole straight through the wall burying the torii gate.
While taking cover, Momo explained that she couldn’t use her esper powers to fight the alien—all of her energy was entirely focused on suppressing Okarun’s curse.
Suddenly, Okarun was overcome by the Turbo Granny’s curse once again. His body slowly mutated into the horrifying old woman’s form. Momo managed to neutralize it just in time, forcing him back into his human state.
Even so, his left hand remained mutated, bearing the demonic claws of the Turbo Granny. Seeing this, an idea sparked in Okarun’s mind.
6. Okarun Controls the Curse
Okarun declared he would fight the sumo alien himself. He asked Momo to let the Turbo Granny’s curse run wild through his body—but only from the neck down. She had to keep neutralizing the curse in his head. He believed that if the plan worked, he could harness the Turbo Granny’s immense power.
The moment Momo adjusted her hold, Okarun was possessed once more. At that exact second, the sumo alien stomped the ground, sending a violent shockwave of wind hurtling toward them.
But Okarun had successfully mastered the Turbo Granny’s power. Moving at lightning speed, he scooped Momo into his arms and leaped out of harm’s way, effortlessly dodging the attack.
Okarun’s transformed state was fierce and striking. His hair had turned a stark white, streaked with glowing red lines of crackling energy. A mask-like jaw covered the lower half of his face, filled with rows of razor-sharp teeth locked in a terrifying grin.
His piercing gaze featured glowing red pupils radiating a dark, chilling energy, contrasting sharply with the round glasses still resting on his face. A crimson aura engulfed his shoulders and head like a Super Saiyan, giving him an aura of overwhelming, menacing power.
7. Okarun’s Transformed Granny Mode
The transformed Okarun revealed that power was overflowing within him. Momo, however, noticed his voice sounded drastically different, and his personality had shifted into deep pessimism. Okarun admitted he was fully conscious, but his heart felt submerged in an uncontrollable sorrow.
Momo was baffled by his new way of speaking. When she questioned him, he simply replied, “Sorry, I am a clumsy man.” Hearing this, Momo grabbed Okarun by the collar, violently shaking him while yelling at him to stop quoting Ken Takakura’s signature line.
Fully transformed, Okarun approached the towering sumo alien. The alien clapped its massive hands together to crush Okarun like a mosquito. Moving with blistering speed, Okarun cleanly severed five fingers from the alien’s left hand before swiftly dodging away.
Unfortunately, Okarun suddenly coughed up blood, his body rapidly weakening. Capitalizing on his vulnerability, the sumo alien snatched him up and hurled him across the courtyard, forcing Okarun back into his human form. Overwhelmed, Okarun told Momo his physical body simply couldn’t handle the sheer magnitude of the Turbo Granny’s power.
8. How to Defeat the Sumo
While aiming both hands at Okarun to re-neutralize the curse, Momo suddenly had a realization: the alien was a sumo wrestler. If they could force its hand to touch the ground, they would win.
Okarun re-entered his transformed state as Momo prepared to topple the beast with her esper abilities. Working in tandem, they launched their assault. Okarun blurred forward, severing the sumo alien’s right leg in an instant.
From a distance, Momo unleashed her psychic powers, violently unbalancing the alien. Stumbling, the massive creature finally brought its hand down, touching the dirt.
9. Momo Defeats the Alien
The sumo alien ignored the defeat, grabbing Momo and hurling her into the breached wall where the torii gate was buried. Momo called the alien a cheat for refusing to accept its loss despite breaking the rules of the match.
Okarun, back in his human form, begged Momo to release his curse again, but Momo refused, declaring that she would finish the sumo alien herself.
The sumo alien relentlessly battered Momo with a barrage of punches, driving her deeper into the rubble and widening the crater in the wall. Amidst the assault, Momo realized she had been pushed past the threshold of the torii gate—she was officially outside the property.
Using her esper powers, Momo yanked Okarun toward her, pulling him into the breach alongside her. With another burst of psychic energy, she levitated the fallen talisman off the ground and slapped it right back onto the torii pillar. Instantly, the sumo alien was engulfed in spiritual flames, incinerated until absolutely nothing remained.
10. Okarun Possessed
Okarun and Momo broke free from the alien’s domain, returning to the real world safely outside the torii gate and off the estate. Catching her breath, Momo complimented Okarun’s messy hair, telling him it actually looked pretty cool.
Suddenly, Momo swayed on her feet and collapsed, completely unconscious. With her knocked out, there was no one left to neutralize the cursed energy in Okarun’s body. The Turbo Granny’s curse violently surged back, taking full control as Okarun’s form slowly warped back into the horrifying specter.
