1. The Counseling Room
Inside the counseling room, Ms. Ratu asked Okarun, Momo, and Aira if they were victims of bullying. She was trying to figure out why Okarun had been running around completely naked while Aira and Momo were in nothing but bikinis. All three vehemently denied being bullied.
Shortly after, Mr. Hamdan called Ms. Ratu away to answer a phone call in the teachers’ lounge.
Once she left, Momo turned to Aira and asked since when she could transform into Acrobatic Silky. Aira admitted the power had just awakened on its own during their fight. Momo nodded, figuring it made sense since she had forcefully transferred Acrobatic Silky’s aura into Aira’s body earlier.
Okarun then explained the harsh reality of their situation. The only reason they stood a chance against the aliens was because of their curses and esper powers. However, as long as they possessed those abilities, the aliens would never stop hunting them—Momo, Aira, and Okarun were marked targets.
2. Why Aliens Haven’t Attacked Earth
Momo was confused. If the aliens wanted the power of curses so badly, why didn’t they just attack the yokai directly? Okarun grabbed a whiteboard and marker, launching into his grand conspiracy theory for Aira and Momo. He theorized that the only reason aliens hadn’t launched a full-scale invasion of Earth was because of the yokai scattered across the globe.
In other words, ghosts and demons acted as Earth’s unintentional guardians against extraterrestrial threats. Despite having vastly superior science and technology, the aliens simply couldn’t defeat the supernatural power of the yokai.
Unable to fight the yokai directly, the aliens resorted to attacking and abducting humans with special abilities—like Okarun, Momo, and Aira. Their goal was to study them and develop technology capable of countering the supernatural. Okarun even suspected that his missing “meatball” had been stolen by the aliens.
Momo rubbed her temples, calling his theory too “schizo” and saying it was giving her a headache. Aira, on the other hand, confidently concluded that this proved she was destined to save the world. Okarun just let them draw their own conclusions.
Moments later, Monaroh and Winda arrived at the counseling room to pick Aira up, leaving Okarun and Momo alone.
3. Momo Demands an Explanation
Momo cornered Okarun, demanding an explanation for what she had seen in the courtyard—specifically, him pinning Aira to the ground like he was about to kiss her.
Frantic, Okarun explained that Aira had tried to force a kiss on him. It turned into a struggle; she kept pushing, and he kept dodging. That was exactly how they ended up falling to the dirt just as Momo walked by.
Momo raised an eyebrow. “Then what were you actually doing in the courtyard?”
Okarun admitted he had been working out, trying to build his muscle mass and stamina so he could get stronger.
Confused, Momo asked, “Why didn’t you just tell me?”
Blushing deeply, Okarun muttered that secretly getting stronger without anyone knowing just seemed cool.
Momo covered her mouth with both hands, teasing him. “Oh, so you can act cool, huh?”
Okarun’s face turned bright red. “Well, I’m a guy… and I wanted you to think I was cool.”
Hearing that, Momo blushed too, a happy smile spreading across her face.
4. Aira Confesses Her Sins
Back in her classroom, Aira was swarmed by her friends, all asking if she was okay. One of them even speculated that Momo was the one bullying Aira, forcing her to run around in a panic wearing only a bikini. The girls quickly jumped to conclusions, accusing Momo of being jealous of Aira’s beauty. They even brought up the WhatsApp rumors, branding Momo as a “loose woman.”
Listening to them, Aira was crushed by guilt. Standing before her classmates, she confessed that she was the one who had spread the vicious rumors and lies about Momo in the group chat. The room fell silent in shock. Aira honestly admitted her faults and begged her friends to stop judging and harassing Momo.
Afterward, Aira walked alone to the school courtyard. Sitting on a bench, she began to regret coming clean. She realized her perfect image as the “good girl” was completely ruined.
Just then, Momo walked up to her, casually asking if Aira had come up with a solid excuse to explain away their humiliating bikini run. Aira claimed she had already handled it by blaming Momo, saying she forced her into it. Unfazed, Momo just brushed it off, knowing Aira wasn’t being serious.
Suddenly, the Mantis materialized right in front of them. A strange, white liquid was leaking from its body. Momo and Aira instantly dropped into a fighting stance. The Mantis looked ready to strike as well—but before it could make a single move, it collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
5. The Mantis Apologizes
Unconscious, the Mantis dreamt of its home planet. In the dream, it saw its child, Chiquitita, crying and waving goodbye as the Mantis set off for Earth to find work and send money back home.
Waking up, the Mantis found itself lying on a mattress, its body wrapped in bandages. Standing over it were Momo, Aira, Seiko, and Okarun. The moment the Mantis tried to sit up, all four braced for a fight, expecting an attack.
But then the Mantis noticed a plate of curry resting near its feet. Momo awkwardly explained that she didn’t know what aliens ate, so she just made curry.
Overwhelmed, the Mantis dropped to its knees, tears streaming down its face. It thanked them profusely for treating its wounds, admitting that this was the first time anyone had ever shown it such kindness. Promising never to attack them again, the Mantis tearfully devoured the curry.
6. The Mantis’s Struggles
After eating, the Mantis explained its tragic situation. Its son suffered from a severe illness that caused massive internal bleeding. Without daily blood transfusions, the child would die. The Mantis’s wife had already succumbed to the exact same disease. The medical bills were astronomical.
The Mantis explained that its home planet was a devastated conflict zone with zero economic opportunities. To survive, its people were forced to seek foreign currency on other planets. Because its race was naturally blessed with immense physical strength, most found lucrative work as bodyguards or mercenaries.
However, because this specific Mantis was considered weak by its race’s standards, it couldn’t get hired for those high-paying jobs. Desperate, its only option was to take on illegal and highly dangerous mercenary work.
7. The Solution for the Mantis
Okarun and Momo discussed the Mantis’s dilemma. Momo pointed out that since the child needed daily blood transfusions, getting a massive lump sum of cash wouldn’t actually solve the problem; the Mantis needed a steady, reliable income. Okarun countered that even if the Mantis wanted a normal job, there were simply no jobs available on its home planet. How was it supposed to make money?
Resigned to its tragic fate, the Mantis stood up, ready to leave. But Seiko blocked its path. She mentioned that the Mantis’s blood smelled rancid, asking, “Is that white liquid leaking from you actually your blood?”
Seiko then handed the Mantis a cup of cow’s milk. After taking a sip, the alien lit up with joy, exclaiming that it tasted exactly like the blood of its own people.
Seiko explained that she had figured it out after smelling the bandages used to treat the Mantis—the scent reminded her of a rag used to wipe up spilled cow’s milk. She added that cow’s milk is sometimes colloquially referred to as “cow’s blood.”
The Mantis noted that the milk tasted a bit too watered down. Seiko clarified that store-bought milk is homogenized to suit human consumption. She then promised to gift the Mantis a live dairy cow, courtesy of a dairy farmer friend she knew.
8. The Mantis’s Promise
That night, Seiko, Okarun, Momo, and Aira watched as the Mantis prepared to leave in its UFO. A tractor beam shot down from the ship, aiming directly at a cow pen. The beam slowly lifted a cow, pulling it safely inside the spacecraft.
The Mantis thanked them deeply, vowing never to forget their kindness. It promised that if they ever found themselves in danger, it would return to fight by their side.
Aira, Momo, and Okarun stared in awe as the alien abducted the cow with the classic tractor beam, agreeing that seeing it in real life was incredibly cool. With a final farewell, the Mantis promised they would meet again before flying off into the night sky.
Momo turned to Seiko, asking, “You finally believe in aliens now, right?”
Seiko casually replied, “That wasn’t an alien. That was a kappa.”
Okarun quickly chimed in, “Actually, there’s a theory that kappas are aliens.”
9. Momo’s Condition
Back inside the house, Momo, Aira, and Okarun bowed low before Seiko. Momo desperately begged her grandmother to buy them replacement school uniforms, swearing to take perfect care of them.
Seiko agreed to buy uniforms for Aira and Okarun, but she gave Momo one specific condition: Momo had to imitate the face and expressions of the famous actor Hiroshi Abe until Seiko was completely satisfied. Though utterly reluctant, Momo forced her face into an exaggerated impression of Abe Hiroshi, sending Aira into fits of hysterical laughter.
10. Jiji
Suddenly, the doorbell rang. Seiko told Momo to go get the door. When Momo checked to see who it was, she froze in shock—it was Jiji.
Seiko greeted him warmly. “So you actually came. Your mother told me you were visiting.”
Curious, Okarun asked, “Who is Jiji?”
Seiko replied casually, “He’s Momo’s childhood friend. And her first love.”
Okarun stood there, completely stunned.
