Since childhood, Hinata has harbored deep feelings for Naruto, always caring for him from afar. Naturally, she becomes overwhelmed with anxiety and fear whenever she sees him in danger.
It is as if she feels exactly what he feels—when Naruto hurts, she hurts; when he is happy, she shares his joy. Their connection is undeniably sweet!
Here are 3 times Hinata fainted while watching Naruto fight:
1. Fainting During the Fight Against Neji

While en route to the final arena of the Chunin Exams, Naruto was plagued by self-doubt regarding his odds against Neji. Hearing murmurs from the crowd praising the Hyuga prodigy’s formidable strength only deepened his anxiety. By chance, he crossed paths with Hinata and nervously asked her if Neji was truly that powerful. With absolute sincerity, Hinata expressed her unwavering belief that Naruto had what it took to defeat him.
Naruto confessed his insecurities, admitting that while he might seem strong in her eyes, he was actually just frustrated and putting on a brave face. However, Hinata firmly reassured him that he was genuinely strong. To her, Naruto was the very symbol of true strength—despite constantly messing up and facing frustration, he always possessed the resilience to stand back up.
Hinata’s words successfully washed away Naruto’s anxiety. Revitalized, he urged her to watch his match and witness him take Neji down. As the battle commenced, Naruto boldly declared his victory. Through his Byakugan, Neji could sense the absolute conviction radiating from Naruto, realizing it was no empty threat.
Hinata and Kiba took their seats in the stands to watch the bout. Beside them sat Izumo and Kotetsu, who were openly discussing the match. The two older shinobi were impressed that Naruto had made it to the finals, but they remained convinced that his luck wouldn’t be enough to topple a genius like Neji.
Hinata grew increasingly anxious as Naruto’s relentless Shadow Clone assault was effortlessly repelled by Neji’s Kaiten (Rotation). The tension reached its peak when Neji unleashed a devastating barrage of 64 Palms, sending Naruto crashing to the ground in sheer agony. Witnessing Naruto suffer so brutally triggered a visceral reaction in Hinata. Overcome by the stress, her previous injuries relapsed, and she fainted right in the stands.
2. Fainting During the Battle Against Pain

When Hinata realized Naruto was fighting Pain entirely alone to protect the Hidden Leaf, her immediate instinct was to run out and help him. However, her bodyguard, Ko, strictly forbade it, warning her that her presence would only become a burden to Naruto.
Peering through her Byakugan, Hinata watched in horror as Naruto was pinned down by the Preta Path. Her panic escalated when the Deva Path drove multiple black chakra receivers deep into Naruto’s body, completely immobilizing him.
Unable to bear witnessing Naruto’s suffering any longer, Hinata defied Ko’s warnings and threw herself onto the battlefield. Her primary goal was to free Naruto from the black rods restricting his movements. Unfortunately, the Deva Path was not about to let her succeed so easily.
A brief but fierce clash broke out between them. During the exchange, Hinata managed to land a solid strike across the Deva Path’s face. In retaliation, Pain unleashed a brutal Shinra Tensei (Almighty Push), blasting her violently away.
Despite her agonizing injuries, Hinata stubbornly crawled toward Naruto to free him. Mercilessly, the Deva Path used Bansho Ten’in (Universal Pull) to yank her body into the air and slam her into the dirt, before driving a black chakra rod straight through her. Devastated by the brutal attack, Hinata lost consciousness and collapsed on the battlefield.
3. Fainting During the Clash Against Momoshiki

As the Hokage of the Hidden Leaf, Naruto sat alongside the other four Kage of the Allied Shinobi Forces to oversee the final rounds of the Chunin Exams. Meanwhile, Hinata and Himawari watched from the stands, eagerly waiting for Boruto to compete.
In his previous matches against Yurui and Shikadai, Boruto had found himself backed into a corner. To secure his victories and advance to the finals, he had secretly relied on an illegal Scientific Ninja Tool.
During the grand finale, Boruto faced off against Shinki. A fierce clash of power ensued: Boruto struck with Lightning Style, while Shinki retaliated with a massive spear forged from iron sand. Unwilling to drag out the jutsu clash, Boruto discreetly activated his Scientific Ninja Tool to unleash Kakashi’s Purple Lightning (Shiden).
The devastating blast shattered Shinki’s iron sand defense and sent him flying, granting Boruto the victory.
However, Naruto immediately noticed Boruto’s blatant rule violation. He stepped down and publicly disqualified his son, stripping him of his Chunin Exam championship. The crowd quickly turned on the young genin, showering him with boos and mockery. Watching the humiliation unfold, a heartbroken Hinata and Himawari held each other in the stands.
Before the dust could settle, Momoshiki and Kinshiki crashed into the arena, seeking to extract Kurama from Naruto. Their sudden invasion wrought massive destruction, prompting the village shinobi to launch a frantic evacuation of the spectators. Amidst the chaos, Hinata quickly secured Himawari’s safety.
To protect the citizens of Konoha from the apocalyptic devastation of Momoshiki’s ultimate jutsu, Naruto fully manifested his Nine-Tails Chakra avatar. He used the massive chakra construct to absorb and contain the catastrophic energy sphere.
The colossal explosion was confined within the Nine-Tails avatar, successfully saving the village from utter annihilation. However, because Naruto was at the epicenter of the blast, he bore the brunt of the destructive force, instantly losing consciousness.
After entrusting Himawari’s safety to Sakura, Hinata fearlessly charged into battle against Momoshiki and Kinshiki to stop them from abducting Naruto into another dimension.
Tragically, she was severely outmatched and brutally defeated. Grievously injured from the confrontation, Hinata fell unconscious and later woke up in the hospital under Sakura’s medical care.
