1. A Treasured Possession

From his front yard, Mr. Boodle watched Luffy, who was still locked inside the iron cage. Beside the cage, Nami and Zoro stood keeping him company, while a dog aggressively snapped at Luffy through the bars.

Boodle approached the trio and urged Zoro—who was injured from his fight with Buggy—to go rest. Shortly after, Zoro fell asleep in a bed inside Boodle’s house.

Meanwhile, Luffy and Nami asked why the dog that had been lingering near them was now just sitting quietly, staring at a nearby pet store. Boodle explained that the dog’s name was Shushu, and he was guarding the pet food store left behind by his late master.

When Nami asked why Shushu stayed to guard the building, Boodle revealed that the shop was the dog’s most treasured possession.

2. Mohji & Ritchie

Suddenly, Nami and Boodle panicked at the sound of a terrifying animal roar. They scrambled away, leaving the caged Luffy behind, while Shushu remained steadfastly guarding the pet food store.

Moments later, Mohji, one of Buggy’s henchmen, approached Luffy riding a massive lion named Ritchie.

Ritchie instantly attacked Luffy, shattering the iron cage. The lion struck Luffy again, sending him flying into a nearby house with enough force to collapse the entire building.

Instead of being hurt, Luffy was thrilled to finally be free. Nearby, Boodle and Nami watched in disbelief, shocked that Luffy had survived such a devastating attack.

Mohji and Ritchie then moved to loot the pet store. Without hesitation, Shushu bit Ritchie’s arm. The lion retaliated, swatting the small dog away. Luffy watched in stunned silence as Shushu was forced to witness his late master’s store burn to the ground, destroyed by Mohji.

3. Luffy Avenges Shushu

Shortly after, Ritchie strolled casually down the street, chewing on a box of pet treats with Mohji riding on his back. Luffy intercepted them. Ritchie lunged to attack, but Luffy swiftly caught the beast by the head and slammed him into the ground, knocking him out cold. Stretching his arms, Luffy grabbed Mohji, yanked him close, and beat him into submission.

With both enemies defeated, Luffy walked back, holding the treats he had reclaimed from the lion. He approached Shushu and handed the food over.

Sitting down next to the dog, Luffy gently explained that it was all he could save; Ritchie had eaten the rest of his late master’s stock.

Watching this, Nami was deeply impressed, amazed that a pirate like Luffy would fight so hard just to avenge a dog.

4. Boodle vs. Buggy

Meanwhile, Mohji reported his defeat to Buggy. Enraged, Buggy ordered his crew to ready the cannons. A long-range bombardment completely incinerated Boodle’s house. Fortunately, Zoro, who had been inside, survived the blast and finally woke from his sleep.

As the mayor of Orange Town, Boodle was furious. He remembered the forty years of grueling hard work he and his people had poured into building their home. Fueled by a fierce determination to protect the town, Boodle grabbed a spear and charged off to confront Buggy.

Upon reaching Buggy’s base, Boodle immediately challenged him to a fight. Buggy swiftly detached one of his hands, sending it flying out to choke the mayor. Suddenly, Buggy felt an excruciating pain in that same hand. Luffy had arrived, crushing Buggy’s disembodied hand with such force that it broke its grip on Boodle’s throat.

Moments later, Zoro and Nami arrived on the scene. With a fierce, unwavering glare, Luffy told Buggy that he was going to take him down.
