1. After Aska’s Betrayal
Lil, Big D, Dilly, and Zai survive the explosive attack launched by Aska as he escapes with Higan. Dilly wonders why Aska would ever save Higan, but Lil simply admits she can’t wait to start the hunt.
Meanwhile, Master Yamaji contacts several operatives dubbed the “Brave Eagles” via communication chips implanted in their bodies. He informs them that the Crow has betrayed them and is now protecting their greatest enemy, the Tiger. Consequently, Yamaji orders the Brave Eagles to hunt down Aska and Higan.
2. Aska’s True Identity is Emma
Aska seals Higan inside an advanced nanomachine pod to accelerate his recovery. Higan is stunned when Aska removes her helmet, revealing herself to be Emma. She explains that she utilizes multiple personas, and the face she has been using is merely a holographic disguise. Emma then reveals another persona, proving she is the voice behind the mysterious figure who guided Higan’s infiltration into Auza City.
Emma explains that the Organization assigned her a mission to uncover Higan’s secret jutsu. She knows Higan previously died and was resurrected by this hidden technique. The Organization believes that until this jutsu is exposed, Higan will simply keep coming back to life no matter how many times he is killed.
To accomplish this, Emma monitored Higan closely by disguising herself as an FBI agent. Even Mike, her partner at the Bureau, remains completely unaware of her true identity.
3. Master Yamaji Dispatches the Search Team
An Auza researcher reports to Master Yamaji that Aska has absconded with a Gusoku Gear suit that was undergoing endurance testing. The researcher admits they had already factored in the risk of Aska’s betrayal. Yamaji, however, dismisses the stolen armor as inconsequential. Instead, he chooses to focus on the search team currently sweeping every block of Auza City to find Higan.
Meanwhile, Zai stands on a rooftop, gazing out over the American city skyline. The search team, on the other hand, has only one block left in Auza City to inspect.
They report to Yamaji that the final block houses a water treatment facility, noting suspicious high-power equipment activity in the area. Big D steps forward, volunteering to personally investigate this final location.
4. Emma Assembles Higan’s Gusoku Gear
Higan questions why Emma, tasked by the Organization to monitor him, is now helping him instead. Emma replies that she has her own personal motives and refuses to let him die.
She warns Higan that fighting Elite Ninjas equipped with Gusoku Gear is a guaranteed death sentence. Even with his secret jutsu, it is completely impossible to match the sheer power of the armor. However, she reveals that she has prepared a customized Gusoku Gear specifically for Higan, giving him a chance to defeat the cyber-ninjas.
While assembling the suit, Emma discloses that she was one of Auza’s original Gusoku Gear developers. She explains that the armor is a state-of-the-art combat suit designed to seamlessly synchronize with all ninja techniques.
Its creation merges 600 years of ninja historical data with Auza’s cutting-edge technology. Emma assures Higan that this Gusoku Gear will serve as his ultimate new body.
5. Higan’s Memories & Mari’s Philosophy
Higan falls asleep and dreams of his past. In the memory, Mari is bandaging his wounds. She shares her life philosophy with him: “Be as cold as fire and as hot as ice.” Higan protests, pointing out that the phrase is backward.
Mari explains that people lose their composure when they succumb to anger, and they lose their intensity when they become overly cautious. By embracing this paradox, she tells him, he will truly be able to master his emotions.
6. The Kamui Gusoku Gear
Emma had previously complained about the armor’s insufficient power output, noting it lacked a core power reactor. Looking at her own Gusoku Gear, she mutters that the necessary replacement parts are only available at Auza’s headquarters. Sneaking in to retrieve them would be tantamount to digging her own grave. Cryptically, she whispers that she only has one choice left. Ultimately, she manages to finalize the reactor within the lining of Higan’s Gusoku Gear.
Emma then informs Higan that his Gusoku Gear is named “Kamui.” Its mechanics differ fundamentally from standard models; merely wearing it won’t unlock its full power. Kamui must be synchronized directly to the user’s brain, allowing it to instantly execute the mental images formed in their mind.
This grants Kamui a reaction speed far surpassing any other Gusoku Gear. Consequently, the stronger Higan visualizes his movements, the faster and more powerfully Kamui will react, as the armor responds directly to the sheer will and action of its user.
7. Mike and Jason
Mike finally wakes up. Jason immediately complains about Mike’s broken promise to protect him, pointing out that he had been stuck watching over Mike while he slept for ten straight days. Jason adds that he had to pay an underground doctor a fortune just to bandage all of Mike’s wounds. Glancing at his wallet on the table, Mike realizes Jason drained all his cash to cover the medical bills.
Afterward, the two relax on a sofa. Jason explains they are laying low in a wealthy person’s vacation home that remains empty most of the year. Meanwhile, Mike is still struggling to get a hold of Emma on the phone.
Mike tells Jason they need to track down everyone on Auza’s corporate spy list. Jason replies that he needs a computer to do that, as he can no longer access his home lab. Mike suddenly remembers that Emma’s car is equipped with a highly advanced computer system, and he knows exactly which auto shop is currently holding it.
8. The Truth Behind the Massacre & Kamui’s Installation Begins
Emma tells Higan that she is about to synchronize the Kamui gear to his brain to activate it. She explains the side effects: the synchronization will force Higan into a deep coma. No matter what happens—even if he is stabbed through the heart—he won’t wake up until the process is complete. She also issues a grave warning: if he dies again during this state, he will stay dead for good.
Emma then drops a bombshell: she was the one who resurrected him. Holding up a ninja helmet, she confesses to disguising herself as a squad member during the massacre at his home. She used a specialized jutsu, striking Higan in the neck with a unique needle that froze his cells, putting him into a state of suspended animation. However, because that needle technique has now been used, the puncture site has sealed permanently, rendering it impossible to use again.
Furious, Higan shoots to his feet and grabs Emma. He is enraged that she chose to save him when he would have gladly traded his own life to keep his wife and son alive. Without a word, Emma taps her smartwatch, initiating Kamui’s synchronization process with his brain. Instantly, Higan collapses into a deep sleep.
9. Big D Springs Emma’s Trap & Lil Discovers Emma
Watching the computer monitors, Emma tracks Big D and his ninja squad approaching the water treatment facility. Big D fires a laser beam to breach an entrance door, but it triggers a hidden minefield behind it, catching him and his squad in a massive explosion.
Emma feels a wave of relief seeing Big D fall for her trap, but panic sets in when Lil breaches her actual hideout. Lil reveals she had been monitoring traffic patterns in Auza City. She grew suspicious of a single truck driving non-stop, considering all civilians had been placed under a strict driving ban the moment the manhunt began.
10. Emma vs. Lil
Emma glances at her smartwatch; Higan’s synchronization is only at 10 percent. As Lil prepares to incinerate the sleeping Higan with a blast of fire, Emma frantically overrides the truck’s autopilot system from her computer, violently swerving the vehicle to throw off Lil’s aim. Emma then challenges Lil to a fight, threatening to slice her in half. Lil gleefully accepts, thrilled at the prospect of fighting another Gusoku Gear user.
The two clash in a brutal taijutsu duel. Lil dodges Emma’s kunai strikes, grabs her by the throat, slams her down, and hurls her across the space. In response, Emma materializes six virtual keyboards for the six ethereal arms on her back and begins rapidly hacking the environment. She weaponizes two trucks, sending them hurtling toward Lil, but Lil effortlessly blocks them. Lil then unleashes a torrent of fire to destroy a swarm of drones raining gunfire down on her.
Taking flight, Lil dashes in to grab Emma, dragging her violently across the pavement. Emma manages to evade Lil’s follow-up punches, lands a solid kick, and takes to the air herself, only for Lil’s fire breath to blast her back down to the street. Emma uses a shadow clone jutsu to multiply her numbers and swarm Lil, successfully driving a sword into her back. Unfazed, Lil combines electricity and fire into a devastating omnidirectional burst, wiping out all of Emma’s clones.
Pushed to their limits, both fighters scramble to recharge their Gusoku Gear batteries. However, Lil fires a precise shot that destroys Emma’s charging station. Depleted of power, Emma’s suit shuts down, and she collapses. Fully recharged, Lil stalks over and brutally beats the defenseless Emma, tossing her broken body across the road. Despite the agony, Emma forces herself to endure, desperately stalling for time as Higan’s synchronization hits 40 percent.
11. Kamui’s Synchronization is Complete
Deep in his comatose state, Higan hears a voice note from Emma, transmitted directly into his subconscious. Emma states that by the time he hears this message, she is likely already dead. She explains her true reason for saving him: Mari had once saved her own life.
In fact, she and Mari used to meet in secret. Emma confesses that she had rushed to save his family the moment she heard the Ninja Boss was attacking their home. By the time she arrived, however, it was too late—Mari and Kyle were already dead. In the end, honoring Mari’s dying wish, Emma could only save Higan.
Back in reality, Lil shatters Emma’s helmet and engulfs her in flames. Just then, Kamui’s synchronization with Higan’s brain reaches 100 percent. The surrounding buildings suddenly plunge into darkness as Kamui drains all the local electricity to power up. Now fully clad in the Kamui armor, Higan stands ready for battle. Across the city, Joseph, Dilly, Big D, and Master Yamaji watch the monitors in eager anticipation as the ultimate showdown between Higan and Lil begins.
