1. Inari’s Courage
On his way, Naruto was alarmed to discover a boar covered in slash wounds and deep sword marks scarring the surrounding trees. Instantly, he feared for Inari and Tsunami’s safety.
Meanwhile, Zori and Waraji stormed Tazuna’s house, smashing through the front door. They quickly seized Tsunami, intending to use her as a hostage. Paralyzed by fear, Inari wept as his mother was taken. But as Naruto’s words calling him a crybaby echoed in his mind, a newfound courage sparked within him. Wiping his tears, Inari recklessly challenged the two thugs to a fight.
Zori struck Tsunami hard on the neck, dropping her unconscious to the floor. As Zori and Waraji swung their swords at the charging boy, their blades cleaved through a wooden log instead.
Naruto had arrived just in time, whisking both the boy and his mother safely out of harm’s way. Flashing a confident smile, Naruto told Inari that heroes always arrive late.
2. Naruto Defeats Zori & Waraji
Naruto then hurled two shuriken at the advancing thugs. Zori and Waraji effortlessly deflected the projectiles with their swords, sending them spinning past their heads.
However, the shuriken were merely a disguise for two of Naruto’s Shadow Clones. Reverting to their true forms, the clones delivered a crushing double kick to Zori and Waraji’s faces, knocking them both out cold.
After tying the unconscious thugs up, Naruto apologized to Inari for ever calling him a crybaby. Gently ruffling the boy’s hair, Naruto praised him, calling him incredibly strong. Overcome with relief and pride, Inari began to weep. Naruto simply smiled, telling him that it was perfectly okay to cry tears of joy.
3. Sasuke vs. Haku
Moving as fast as a whirlwind, Haku lunged at Sasuke. He thrust a deadly needle toward him, but Sasuke quickly deflected the strike with a kunai. Haku then wove a jutsu sign using only one hand—instantly manipulating the puddle beneath his feet into a hundred floating needles, poised to skewer Sasuke.
Reacting immediately, Sasuke channeled chakra to his feet and vaulted high into the air, narrowly dodging Haku’s torrential barrage of needles. But Haku did not stop there; he unleashed his Ice Mirror jutsu, erecting a dome of icy reflections that completely trapped Sasuke inside. Haku phased into one of the mirrors, his image instantly reflecting across every panel, making it impossible for Sasuke to track the real Haku.
4. Naruto Arrives
From within the mirrors, Haku and his reflections unleashed a relentless, inescapable hail of needles, drawing cries of pain from Sasuke. Meanwhile, Zabuza blocked Kakashi from breaking through Haku’s ice dome. He coldly threatened to slaughter Tazuna and Sakura if Kakashi dared to intervene and help Sasuke.
Sakura picked up Sasuke’s kunai, which had landed near her feet earlier, and hurled the weapon straight at the ice mirrors. Haku leaned out from his mirror and effortlessly caught the kunai mid-flight. But without warning, a mysterious shuriken shot out of nowhere, striking Haku in the face and knocking him off balance to the floor.
Moments later, a thick puff of smoke erupted on the battlefield, drawing everyone’s gaze. As the smoke cleared, Naruto emerged, striking a confident pose as he loudly announced his arrival.
