Satoru Gojo is a teacher at Tokyo Jujutsu High, renowned for his extraordinary Jujutsu techniques. His immense power strikes fear into the hearts of many cursed spirits. Yet, despite being a formidable figure dreaded by his enemies, Gojo has an unexpectedly cheerful and carefree personality.

Beyond his bright demeanor, Gojo frequently pulls ridiculous stunts that deeply annoy or frustrate those around him.

1. Satoru Gojo Has No Talent for Drawing

Despite his striking looks and unparalleled combat skills, Gojo has absolutely no talent for drawing.

Once, Gojo was subjected to a surprise attack on the street by a high-grade cursed spirit named Jogo. Afterward, while reporting the incident to Fushiguro, he tried to explain the details visually.

During his explanation, Gojo drew portraits of the high-grade curses, Jogo and Hanami. The drawings were so atrociously bad they were almost unrecognizable.

Hilariously, when the high-grade curses actually invaded Tokyo Jujutsu High, Fushiguro managed to recognize Hanami and anticipate the attack—all thanks to Gojo’s terrible sketch.

It goes to show that even though Gojo’s art is far from a masterpiece, it can still be surprisingly useful in a pinch!

2. Borrowing Maki’s Weapon and Never Returning It

When Gojo ordered Yuji and Nobara to exorcise curses inside an old, abandoned building, Yuji complained that he hadn’t yet mastered Jujutsu techniques. He was worried because, in theory, a curse can only be defeated with cursed energy. Gojo assured him that since his body was already half-cursed, he could handle it.

However, Gojo strictly forbade Yuji from using the power of Sukuna residing within him. Instead, he handed Yuji a cursed tool—a combat knife called “Slaughter Demon”—imbued with cursed energy. Yuji wielded it perfectly and successfully defeated the cursed spirit.

But there was one massive problem: the Slaughter Demon Gojo gave to Yuji actually belonged to Maki.

Later, during a strategy meeting between the Tokyo and Kyoto Jujutsu High students before their exchange event, Maki—a second-year student at Tokyo—found out Gojo had lent her weapon to Yuji. She immediately demanded Yuji return it.

Unfortunately, Yuji didn’t have the heart to confess that the knife had been destroyed during combat. Awkwardly, he lied and said Gojo had already taken it back. Hearing this, Maki grew furious, cursing Gojo as a “blindfolded idiot.”

Most likely, Yuji hadn’t taken proper care of the weapon because he assumed it was a gift from Gojo, completely unaware it was Maki’s prized possession. Typical Satoru Gojo!

3. The Ridiculous Surprise Idea

Yuji Itadori was previously presumed dead in the line of duty. However, thanks to Sukuna’s power within him, Yuji came back to life. Despite this, Gojo decided to keep Yuji’s resurrection a strict secret for two solid months.

During that time, Gojo secretly trained him to become stronger, promising to reveal his survival at the upcoming Kyoto Sister-School Goodwill Event.

When the day of the exchange event finally arrived, an excited Yuji eagerly cashed in on Gojo’s promise. He couldn’t wait to return to school and reunite with his friends and seniors. But Gojo felt a standard reunion was too boring—especially since everyone had mourned Yuji for two months.

Gojo devised a “brilliant” plan to reintroduce him. He told Yuji to follow his lead, planning to present him as a “surprise gift.” Gojo confidently guaranteed that the first-years would be shocked, overjoyed, and brought to tears of laughter.

He even promised that the second-year Tokyo students and the Kyoto students would weep tears of joy seeing Yuji alive. Gojo joked that some might cry so hard they’d throw up, miraculously solving global warming in the process. This was the absurd promise he made to his student.

When all the students and teachers from both Tokyo and Kyoto finally gathered, Gojo cheerfully rolled up with a massive storage cart. Casually, he claimed he had just returned from an overseas business trip and handed out protective charms from a remote tribe as souvenirs for the Kyoto students.

Then, he presented the giant cart as a “gift” for the Tokyo students. Suddenly, the cart popped open, and Yuji leaped out with a massive grin, while Gojo dramatically announced, “Here’s your departed friend, Yuji Itadori!”

The reality, however, fell painfully short of Yuji’s expectations. The reaction was nothing like Gojo promised. The Tokyo students stared with deadpan, unenthusiastic expressions, while the Kyoto students were much more interested in Gojo’s souvenirs.

Gojo’s masterfully crafted surprise ended up being an incredibly awkward moment for Yuji.

4. Refusing to Let Fushiguro Go Home

One night, Fushiguro was assigned to visit Sugisawa Third High School in Miyagi Prefecture. His mission was to retrieve a cursed object: one of Sukuna’s fingers. But when he opened the Stevenson screen where the object was supposed to be stored, the box was completely empty.

Fushiguro immediately called Gojo to report that the cursed object was missing. Gojo’s response was characteristically casual, but he delivered a shocking ultimatum: Fushiguro was not allowed to come home until he found it.

Hearing that order, Fushiguro could only curse internally, swearing he would punch Gojo the next time he saw him.

5. Changing the Jujutsu High Event Tradition

During the Sister-School Goodwill Event, the principals of both institutions—Yaga of Tokyo and Gakuganji of Kyoto—agreed on the standard two-day competition format. The first day featured a group battle, while the second day was traditionally reserved for individual one-on-one fights.

Since the group battles had concluded, the second day was supposed to proceed with the individual matches. However, Gojo, claiming he despised tradition, hijacked the competition without asking for anyone’s permission.

Instead of individual combat, Gojo replaced the entire second day’s event with a game of baseball.

Unsurprisingly, this stunt infuriated both Yaga and Gakuganji. They felt Gojo’s actions were entirely inappropriate, especially since the change was made without any prior notice.

But true to form, Gojo just smiled casually, completely unapologetic, thoroughly enjoying the chaos he had caused.

6. Customizing Yuji’s School Uniform

While Fushiguro and Yuji were waiting for the arrival of the third first-year student, Gojo unexpectedly strolled up to wait with them.

Gojo noted how impressed he was that Yuji’s Jujutsu High uniform had been tailored and finished on time, considering he was a last-minute transfer.

However, Yuji was confused; he noticed his uniform had several distinct details compared to Fushiguro’s, most notably a bright red hood.

Gojo explained that Jujutsu High uniforms could be custom-tailored upon request. But Yuji had never submitted any design requests. Finally, Gojo admitted that he had personally submitted a custom design request for Yuji’s uniform.

Fortunately, Yuji didn’t mind the new look. Fushiguro, who was all too familiar with Gojo’s antics, simply warned Yuji to be more careful in the future, noting that Gojo had a bad habit of doing whatever he pleased.

7. Pranking His Own Students

To celebrate the complete assembly of the Tokyo Jujutsu High first-year trio—Yuji, Nobara, and Fushiguro—and knowing that two of them were visiting Tokyo for the very first time, Gojo offered to take them on a tour of the city.

Yuji and Nobara were absolutely thrilled. Nobara demanded they go to Tokyo Disneyland, while Yuji passionately argued for Chinatown. A fierce debate broke out between the two over their destination.

Stepping in, Gojo announced they were heading to Roppongi instead. Hearing this, Yuji and Nobara instantly agreed, their eyes sparkling at the prospect of the vibrant district.

Unfortunately, reality was a harsh awakening. Gojo had completely pranked his students. Instead of the glamorous Roppongi district, he dragged them to an abandoned cemetery. Once there, he ordered Nobara and Yuji to exorcise the curses lurking inside a dilapidated building as part of a field test.
