Qiuqa put together 4 key points after watching Boruto Episode 1.

1. Boruto Rescues Denki

In a narrow city alley, Lancelot, Badang, and Wawan corner Denki and snatch his wallet. Boruto arrives, creating three Kage Bunshin to intervene. While the clones hold off the trio, three more bullies show up as backup.

Outnumbered, Boruto and Denki are forced to flee. Later, as they walk the city streets, Boruto learns a surprising truth: Denki is the son of a billionaire.

His father owns the Kaminarimon Company, the largest corporation in Konohagakure and the operator of its high-speed rail network.

2. Boruto’s Jougan Eye

That night, Eriki reminds Denki of his duty as the Kaminarimon heir. Frustrated that his son was shaken down by street thugs simply for being weak, Eriki insists Denki enroll in the Shinobi Academy to grow stronger.

After leaving his father’s office, an anxious and vulnerable Denki is suddenly possessed by the “Ghost” shadow. The next morning, Boruto spots Denki walking alone toward the train station.

Without realizing it, Boruto’s right eye—the Jougan—activates, allowing him to see the dark entity controlling Denki. Boruto trails him, only to discover a horrifying plot: Denki intends to harm the bullies who extorted him.

He traps them inside a defective, driverless train, setting it on a direct collision course with another broken train on the same track.

3. Boruto’s Advice Awakens Denki

Boruto confronts Denki, warning him that he is taking things too far. Denki snaps back, confessing he only wants his father to acknowledge him as strong so he won’t be forced into the Shinobi Academy.

Hearing this, Boruto grabs Denki by the collar. He tells him fiercely that he doesn’t need his father’s approval—he must forge his own path in life. Boruto’s words break through, and the Ghost shadow driving Denki’s malice vanishes.

Suddenly, Lancelot screams a warning: the trains are about to collide. Acting fast, Boruto uses a Kage Bunshin to pull the track lever, narrowly avoiding the crash.

He then orders the bullies into the passenger cars for safety. As the cars decouple, Boruto and Denki remain in the locomotive, steering the runaway train straight toward the Shinobi Academy.

4. The Train Crashes into the Hokage Monument

Meanwhile, the Konoha Shinobi Academy is holding its entrance ceremony. Shino takes attendance for the new students, but Boruto is nowhere to be found.

His absence leaves the teachers, students, and even Shikamaru and Naruto bewildered. Suddenly, a train crashes violently into the Seventh Hokage’s stone face, sending shockwaves through the crowd.

Amidst the chaos, Boruto emerges and loudly announces his arrival, leaving the entire ceremony completely stunned by his stunt.
