Meanwhile, a hiding Seba felt secure now that he knew the sniper’s location. Mashimo fired his rifle at a metal ventilation shaft on the building’s wall. Seba assumed the shot had missed, but the bullet ricocheted and grazed his shoulder.

Feeling the sting, Seba instantly activated his invisibility and sprinted away. Yet, Mashimo could still track him by listening to his footsteps.

Seba then stood atop a building and revealed himself as Mashimo prepared to shoot. Suddenly, Seba swung his arm as if throwing something. Mashimo didn’t sense anything amiss, but an iron pipe abruptly pierced his shoulder, knocking him down.

Approaching the agonizing Mashimo, Seba asked if the sniper thought he possessed psychic powers. He explained that his invisibility actually came from a special suit he wore. Anything wrapped in the fabric—like the iron pipe he had just thrown—also became invisible.

3. Shin & Mashimo Defeat Seba

As Seba stepped on Mashimo’s hand, which still gripped his rifle, Mashimo pulled the trigger. The bullet struck the building, ricocheting wildly before tearing through Seba’s arm.

Mashimo tried to stand with his weapon, but Seba moved quickly, driving a knife into his stomach and dropping him again. Seba then kicked away all of Mashimo’s spare ammo, ensuring he couldn’t counterattack.

Seba wondered aloud why Mashimo was willing to fight this hard for someone else. Lying on the ground, Mashimo replied that Sakamoto, Shin, and Shaotang had once called him a top-tier sniper, and he refused to let that title become a lie. Suddenly, Mashimo screamed out for Shin. At that exact moment, Piisuke flew overhead and dropped a single bullet. Mashimo scrambled up and fired at Seba without hesitation.

Relieved, Seba mocked Mashimo for missing his shot. Unbeknownst to him, the ricocheting bullet generated enough heat to trigger the sprinkler system above him. Water instantly poured down, soaking Seba and deactivating his invisibility suit.

Simultaneously, Shin leapt from behind Seba, locking his legs around his opponent’s head. Spinning mid-air, he used his momentum to slam Seba to the floor with a Rey Mysterio-style hurricanrana. Shin told Seba he would have had the upper hand if he had just fought visibly from the start. Seba went limp and finally lost consciousness.

Mashimo then praised Shin for reading his mind perfectly—from shooting the sprinkler to drenching Seba to disable his camouflage, and finally striking exactly when the opening appeared.

Deep within an underground subway tunnel, Kashima informed Sakamoto that his subordinates had set up an automatic demolition system for the lab. It had been triggered to destroy evidence after they were caught forcing scientists to conduct illicit research.

Though Kashima regretted losing the advanced research, he accepted the sacrifice, revealing that the lab would collapse in twenty minutes. Sakamoto firmly stated that he only needed five minutes to finish Kashima off. Provoked, Kashima lunged with the nine blades equipped to his arm, but Sakamoto easily dodged.

Kashima then compared his physique to Sakamoto’s, insulting him as being as fat as a pig. He revealed that the lab’s scientific technology had turned him into a cyborg, converting seventy percent of his body into weaponry. Sakamoto casually replied that he had weapons too, showing off a mechanical pencil, discount stickers, and a convenience store pamphlet.

Laughing at the joke, Kashima fired the explosive rounds in his arm repeatedly, but Sakamoto evaded every shot. Sakamoto continuously clicked his mechanical pencil until the graphite extended, then flicked the lead directly into the eye of the charging Kashima. The immense impact launched them both into the air and onto adjacent tracks—just as another train passed by. Sakamoto swiftly angled Kashima’s body to smash straight through the train’s front windshield, startling the conductor as they careened into the cabin.

The sheer force pushed them further back, tumbling straight into a crowded passenger car. Still airborne, Sakamoto delivered a brutal kick that sent Kashima flying. Kashima dug the nine blades on his left arm into the floor, killing his momentum before he could be thrown any further, and finally stabilized himself in a crouch.

To Kashima, exterminating evil was completely justified. But deep down, he was bewildered—why did no one understand that he was only doing good for others?

Suddenly, Uzuki, also known as Slur, appeared and massacred the entire mob. He approached Kashima and called him a good person. For Uzuki, it was rare to find someone willing to dirty their hands for the sake of others. He then told Kashima that a necessary evil was required to achieve a greater, noble justice.

Kashima sat with his knees pulled up, leaning forward, pondering why everyone always saw him as a monster. Uzuki smeared blood on his thumb and painted an ‘X’ over Kashima’s mouth. He invited Kashima to become his follower, promising to accept him unconditionally.

Snapping back to the present, Kashima reaffirmed his resolve. For the sake of justice and Slur’s grand vision, he was determined to obliterate anyone who stood in their way.

7. Sakamoto Takes Down Kashima

Spotting an elderly woman boarding the train, Sakamoto grabbed Kashima, who was standing near the priority seating, and hurled him into the vestibule. He then politely offered the woman a seat. Panting heavily, Kashima was dumbfounded as to why his cybernetic body couldn’t keep up with Sakamoto.

Sakamoto stepped into the vestibule and ruthlessly pummeled Kashima, leaving him completely unable to fight back. Kashima was ultimately sent flying into the next train car. Suspended in mid-air, he felt the sheer, unrivaled might of Sakamoto, marveling that this power came from a mere human.

In a desperate counterattack, Kashima fired his built-in weapons. However, Sakamoto swiftly ripped a metal handrail from the ceiling and twirled it rapidly to deflect every bullet. He then used the pole to viciously beat Kashima.

Refusing to stay down, Kashima revealed a weapon hidden in his stomach and blasted Sakamoto, launching him straight through the train wall. Sakamoto plummeted toward the tracks but managed to land smoothly on top of another train speeding in the opposite direction.

Without wasting a second, Sakamoto sprinted across the rooftops of the rushing train cars and vaulted back onto Kashima’s train. By then, Kashima and the elderly woman were sitting casually in the priority seats. Kashima was stunned to see Sakamoto force open the vestibule doors and re-enter the car.

Furious, Kashima threw the grandmother sitting next to him, along with several other passengers, directly at Sakamoto. But Sakamoto deftly caught all of them, gently setting them down in the nearest passenger seats. Kashima was beyond frustrated. Why was Sakamoto so impossible to kill? He was just a lowlife without dreams or ambition—unlike Slur, whom the world desperately needed.

Sakamoto shot him an icy glare. He told Kashima he would never let a scumbag like him lay a finger on his family. Without hesitation, Sakamoto punched Kashima with such force that he shattered through the train wall and crashed onto the platform, shocking the commuters at the station.

Growing fatigued, she urged Shishiba to wrap up his work quickly. Finally, Shishiba found the surveillance footage documenting the meeting between Kashima and Uzuki. He was now certain that Slur was the mastermind behind the chaos and felt satisfied having tracked him down.

Osaragi asked if Uzuki was an enemy of the JAA. Looking at Uzuki’s figure on the monitor, she admitted that the man exuded strength. Without hesitation, Shishiba smashed his hammer into the monitor, destroying the screen displaying Uzuki’s face. He calmly told Osaragi that no matter how strong Slur was, anyone who dared pick a fight with the Order had to be eliminated.

Elsewhere, Shin used his telepathy to guide Asakura toward a specific survivor trapped in the building. Sprinting alone through the corridors, Shin suddenly spotted someone sitting casually in the darkness. He froze instantly. His body felt as if it were being torn apart by the sheer, overwhelming bloodlust directed at him. He stood paralyzed, drenched in a cold sweat.

Unbeknownst to Shin, the man in the shadows was Slur—Uzuki himself. Uzuki casually strolled past the petrified Shin. Stepping just behind him, Uzuki spoke in a chilling tone, “So, you’re Shin? Send Sakamoto my regards, will you?” With that, he walked away.

10. Shin Bids Farewell to Old Friends

After successfully escaping to the surface at the Okutabi Museum, the scientists expressed their profound gratitude for surviving. There, they reunited with Sakamoto, Shaotang, and Mashimo. Soon after, Shin and Asakura arrived. Shin informed the group that the lab was completely destroyed. Ishikawa comforted Shin, reassuring him that even though the facility was gone, all their research data was safely stored in their memories.

Shin read the minds of the scientists as they secretly observed him—marveling that the little boy they once knew had grown into a young man. Though they were happy to see him thrive, they all simultaneously thought he was still pretty short. Embarrassed by the silent attention, Shin loudly reminded them he could hear their thoughts and demanded they stop talking about him.

Later, at the convenience store, the Sakamoto family hosted a dinner party upstairs in their home. The gathering included Shaotang, Shin, Sakamoto, Hana, Aoi, and Mashimo—who was accompanied by Piisuke happily pecking at birdseed on top of his head. During the meal, Hana finally got to share her “bring your parents to school” experience. Mashimo smiled with relief, genuinely happy that she finally had the chance to tell her story.

Meanwhile, Shin sneakily stole a piece of shrimp from a dozing Shaotang’s plate. Naturally, a bickering match erupted between the two. Observing the chaos, Sakamoto silently broadcasted an intense urge to knock their heads together.

Shin, catching the thought immediately, scolded Sakamoto for harboring such violent ideas. Sakamoto just sighed, remarking that Shaotang and Shin would truly never learn how to stop fighting.
