Realizing Sarada’s prowess, Boruto conceded defeat and offered a handshake as a sign of peace. But he completely fooled her—the Boruto shaking her hand was nothing more than a Shadow Clone. The real Boruto had already tied a rope around himself and was dangling over the monument. Moments later, he successfully defaced the Seventh Hokage’s face.

The accusation fit the suspects’ descriptions—a grown man and a child—and was cemented by the binoculars they were holding. Fortunately, Tsunade soon uncovered the real culprits: Naruto and Jiraiya.
Since Boruto and Sasuke were considered strangers to the village, Tsunade questioned their presence. Sasuke smoothly lied, claiming they were just traveling entertainers who performed tricks while visiting different villages.
