1. Nami Tricks Luffy

Nami approached Luffy and said, “Thanks for coming to save me, Boss!” With that, she immediately turned and ran away.

Meanwhile, three of Buggy’s henchmen prepared to attack Luffy, assuming he was Nami’s boss. In the blink of an eye, however, Luffy took all three of them down. Nami, who had been watching the entire spectacle from a nearby rooftop, praised his incredible strength.

Shortly after, Nami returned to Luffy and offered to treat him to a meal as a token of gratitude. At a local tavern, she explained that the citizens of Orange Town had fled in terror from the Buggy Pirates, who had entirely taken over the town.

Nami introduced herself as a thief with a singular goal: amassing 100 million Berries. Realizing she had stolen Buggy’s map of the Grand Line, Luffy asked if she was a navigator. Nami confirmed that she was.

Luffy immediately invited her to join his pirate crew. Nami agreed, but on one condition: Luffy had to accompany her to meet Buggy. Moments later, Nami dragged a tightly bound Luffy into Buggy’s base, situated on the rooftop of a large building.

2. Buggy Tries to Blow Up Luffy

Nami told Buggy she had come to return his map of the Grand Line, claiming she was sick of taking orders from a cruel captain like Luffy. She then offered to join Buggy’s crew, and the pirate captain happily accepted.

Buggy then locked Luffy inside a small, cube-shaped iron cage. He wheeled out a cannon, aiming it point-blank at the trapped boy. Testing her loyalty, Buggy ordered Nami to light the fuse and blow her former boss to pieces.

When Nami hesitated, a crewmate named Ujang snatched the match from her hand and lit the cannon’s fuse himself. Reacting instantly, Nami swung her staff and struck Ujang hard over the head.

Buggy furiously berated Nami for attacking his man. At the same time, Luffy screamed in panic as the fuse continued to burn. Without a second thought, Nami grabbed the sizzling fuse with her bare hands, smothering the flame.

3. Zoro vs. Buggy

Soon after, Buggy’s men drew their swords and lunged at Nami from behind. Suddenly, Zoro appeared, intercepting all four attackers before their blades could reach her.

Buggy then challenged Zoro to a fight. Gripping his knives, he charged straight at the swordsman. However, Zoro struck first, slashing Buggy into several pieces before the captain could even land a hit.

To Zoro’s bewilderment, Buggy’s crew simply laughed, watching their captain’s apparent death without a shred of panic.

Suddenly, a blade struck Zoro from behind, piercing his body. Buggy was still alive. His severed body parts floated back together, reattaching seamlessly. Buggy revealed that he had eaten the Chop-Chop Fruit, a Devil Fruit that gave him the power to split his body into pieces at will.

4. Buggy’s Base Destroyed

Buggy laughed maniacally as Zoro collapsed in pain. Enraged, Luffy called Buggy a big-nosed cheater for attacking Zoro from behind.

Infuriated by the insult to his nose, Buggy hurled a knife straight at Luffy. Casually, Luffy caught the flying blade with his teeth, biting down on the steel.

Zoro and Buggy then resumed their clash. Mid-fight, however, Zoro abruptly disengaged and sprinted toward Luffy. Grabbing the cannon still pointed at his captain, Zoro spun it around, aiming the barrel directly at Buggy and his crew. Seeing this, the pirates panicked.

Zoro ordered Nami to light a match. Without hesitation, she ignited the cannon’s fuse. A split second later, a massive explosion tore through the rooftop, reducing Buggy’s base to ashes.
