Deepa is an Inner member of the Kara organization with a twisted obsession: tasting diverse foods. He is frequently seen visiting restaurants, but every meal inevitably ends in absolute destruction. Without an ounce of mercy, Deepa massacres the staff and patrons alike.
He also operates under strict personal rules. He despises introducing himself, and anyone unfortunate enough to see his face or learn of his whereabouts is immediately eradicated.
Deepa’s culinary obsession goes beyond mere flavor; he seeks to consume whatever he finds fascinating. Bored with the mundane tastes and textures of the human world, he backed Victor’s scheme to cultivate an imitation Divine Tree (Shinju).
Deepa didn’t want the Chakra Fruit for power like the other Inners—he simply wanted to satisfy his morbid curiosity by tasting it.
His hopes were crushed when Orochimaru’s Shikokumojin jutsu melted the tree, leaving Deepa deeply frustrated that he would never get to taste everything the world had to offer.
In battle, Deepa treats his enemies like ingredients on a cutting board. He savors every moment they experience terror, agony, and hopelessness. To him, an opponent’s despair is an exquisite “delicacy.” He likens this to preparing meat, believing that an animal paralyzed by fear right before slaughter yields far more flavorful meat.
Deepa once proclaimed that stones and his own body are the two most beautiful things in the world. Thanks to Amado’s Scientific Ninja Tool modifications, Deepa wields extraordinary biological abilities.
He can absorb carbon from his own body to forge super-dense molecular bonds. These molecules are compressed and polished, granting him the beauty of a gemstone and a body as hard as diamond.

1. Manipulating His Metallic Body to Withstand Attacks
Deepa showcased his terrifying durability when he fought Kumogakure shinobi: Marui, Kakui, and their captain, Omoi. Relying purely on hand-to-hand combat, Deepa used his hardened metallic body to effortlessly tank the squad’s coordinated assault.
The Hidden Cloud’s famous Lightning Style (Raiton) failed to even shock him, and Omoi’s signature sword techniques—taught personally by Killer Bee—couldn’t leave a single scratch. Ultimately, Kakui and Marui were killed, and Omoi was brutally defeated.
The metallic plating on Deepa’s body is so dense that some of the most devastating attacks simply bounce off:
• Konohamaru’s Fire Style: Dragon Flame Bomb (Katon: Karyu Endan) failed to burn him.
• Mitsuki’s Sage Mode strikes couldn’t knock him down.

When Asaka tried to protect Boruto, he resorted to the Forbidden Jutsu: Higanbana in a desperate suicide bombing attempt. The massive explosion engulfed Deepa directly, but his diamond-hard armor allowed him to walk out of the inferno completely unscathed.
The Only Time Deepa Was Wounded
Despite having a body as hard as diamond, Deepa was wounded once. This happened during a mission from Victor to steal Toneri’s puppet in the Hidden Sand Village. He faced off against Team 10 (Shikadai, Inojin, and Chocho) alongside the Sunagakure trio (Yodo, Araya, and Shinki).
Believing he had wiped out his enemies, Deepa let his guard down. As he turned his back to walk away with the puppet, Shinki seized the opening. Striking with a surprise attack, Shinki drove a spear of black iron sand straight into Deepa’s back.
The attack successfully pierced his armor, marking the very first time Deepa sustained a combat injury.
2. Manipulating His Metallic Body to Amplify Attacks
Deepa can harden his fingers into lethal weapons. With a simple flick to Boruto’s forehead, he sent the boy flying backward with bone-crushing force.
He can also reinforce his arms to deliver devastating physical blows. With this sheer strength, he casually batted away Chocho’s Human Boulder (Nikudan Sensha), deflected Mitsuki’s Snake Lightning and Wind Scythe jutsu, and effortlessly blocked Sarada’s monstrous Shanaro punch.
Furthermore, Deepa can manipulate the metal in his body to elongate his fingers, transforming them into deadly piercing spikes or long-range whips to lash his enemies.
3. Unleashing a Hail of Bullets
Deepa has the ability to manifest and fire metallic projectiles from all around his body. These cube-shaped bullets can be altered in size and fired in a relentless, high-speed barrage that overwhelms his targets.
During their first encounter, Team 7 (Boruto, Mitsuki, and Sarada) fell victim to this catastrophic metallic rain. The barrage inflicted such critical injuries that the entire team was hospitalized in critical condition.
Later, during the joint mission between Team 10 and the Sunagakure genin, Deepa unleashed this terrifying bullet storm once again. The combined teams were utterly decimated, and even Shinki’s famously impenetrable iron sand shield was shattered to pieces by the metallic cubes.
4. Transforming into a Metallic Armor Suit
In their second battle, Deepa was pushed into a corner by the coordinated assaults of Team 7. The situation turned dire when Boruto launched a Compression Rasengan (Asshuku Rasengan) directly at him. Though Deepa tried to block it, the dense chakra sphere successfully shredded his metallic arm.
To survive the onslaught, Deepa coated his entire body in a thick layer of carbon metal, transforming into a towering, heavily armored metallic juggernaut. He boasted to Boruto that Team 7 was the very first group to ever witness this form.
Despite the armor’s inherent mobility flaws, Deepa was supremely confident that this new power would crush them.
However, Boruto charged forward with another Compression Rasengan, clashing head-on with Deepa’s diamond-coated punch. Empowered by the additional chakra and support from Mitsuki and Sarada, Boruto upgraded the attack into a Super Compression Rasengan (Cho Asshuku Rasengan).
The overwhelming force of the strike shattered Deepa’s invincible armor to dust and brought the Kara Inner down once and for all.
