2. What Soccer Means to Itoshi Rin
Rin coldly tells Team White to stop celebrating; he is bored by their incredibly low level of play. He points out that Team White treats soccer like a simple sport, whereas to him, the pitch is a battlefield—a literal warzone against an armed military force.
According to Rin, Team White remains amateurish precisely because they fail to grasp this reality. Without even passing to start the play, Rin launches a lethal long-range shot straight from the center circle. The ball blasts past Blue Lock Man, instantly tying the score at 1-1. A bewildered Nagi asks Bachira, “Is he even allowed to do that?” Bachira replies, “It’s allowed, but a shot like that almost never goes in.”
Retrieving the ball from Team White’s net to hand it back to them, Rin declares that he cares nothing for opponents or teammates. To him, everyone is equally pathetic. He just wants to end the match quickly, viewing the entire ordeal as a sheer waste of time.
Isagi immediately calls Rin out, reminding him that they are risking their entire soccer careers in this match. He demands Rin show some respect, as they are all fighting for the same dream. Unfazed, Rin flatly rejects Isagi’s sentiment, stating that for him, losing at soccer is synonymous with death. To Rin, soccer is a fight for survival. He orders Team White to restart the game immediately so he can “kill” them on the pitch.
3. Aryu Jyubei Scores
Isagi restarts the play with a pass to Bachira. He remains convinced that despite Rin’s overwhelming individual skill, Team White can still win this 3-on-3 battle. Isagi is determined to make Rin regret underestimating them.

On the other side, Tokimitsu suddenly spirals into an overthinking panic, terrified that a loss will render him utterly worthless. Fueled by pure anxiety, Tokimitsu sprints frantically to block Bachira, but Bachira nimbly leaps over his challenge.
Despite his panic, Tokimitsu’s raw agility allows him to recover instantly and block Bachira again. Bachira attempts a Marseille turn to slip past, but Tokimitsu relentlessly shadows him and ultimately steals the ball, dominating the one-on-one duel.
Tokimitsu immediately drives the ball toward Team White’s goal. Still consumed by anxiety, he convinces himself that scoring is the only way to find peace. Isagi steps up and attempts a heavy body charge to stop him, but Tokimitsu’s muscular core is overwhelmingly dense; the impact simply sends Isagi flying. In stark contrast, Isagi, Nagi, and Bachira had fought together in the same building, forged a mutual understanding, and played as a cohesive unit—yet they were losing. Plagued by frustration and a creeping sense of terror, Isagi begins to wonder if his team is doomed to fail.
6. Nagi Seishiro Proposes a Strategy
Nagi breaks Isagi out of his trance, remarking that thanks to Isagi, he is finally starting to see the interesting side of soccer. Team White huddles for a quick strategy session, and Nagi actively proposes a tactical plan. Isagi is genuinely surprised that Nagi is capable of offering strategic input. Nagi admits this is a first for him; he simply refuses to taste defeat again and hates the bitter disappointment that comes with it.
Team White decides to execute Nagi’s plan, deploying a tight triangular formation to pierce Team Red’s defense. Bachira drops back as the primary playmaker, while Nagi and Isagi position themselves parallel to each other just outside Team Red’s penalty box. Rin marks Isagi, Aryu locks onto Nagi, and Tokimitsu presses Bachira. Operating as the central pivot, Bachira orchestrates the passing routes toward the goal, holding two lethal options: Isagi on the left and Nagi on the right.

Utilizing his elite one-touch play, Nagi flicks the ball forward with a delicate backheel. He immediately spins, chases down his own setup, and fires the ball into Team Red’s net. The shot arches with terrifying accuracy toward the top-left corner, looking like a guaranteed goal.
Out of nowhere, Isagi leaps into the frame and spectacularly heads the ball clear off the line. Locking eyes with Rin, Isagi declares, “I can see exactly what you see.” Armed with his spatial awareness, Isagi is now certain he can predict and neutralize Team Red’s most lethal threats. Having analyzed their weapons and playstyles, Isagi feels an overwhelming surge of confidence that his vision can dominate the entire pitch.
The deflection earns Team Red a corner kick, and Rin steps up to take it. Aryu and Tokimitsu crowd into Team White’s penalty box, waiting for the cross. Bachira tightly marks the relentlessly agile Tokimitsu, while Nagi locks onto Aryu to counter his aerial dominance. Isagi positions himself right between them, ready to react to the defense and restrict the enemy’s movement, silently plotting a lethal counterattack the moment the ball is cleared.
Rin strikes the ball from the left corner flag. The ball arcs unnaturally high into the air, spinning with vicious vertical dip, and drops directly into the top-right corner of the net for a spectacular goal. Bachira passes to Nagi, who instantly taps it back. The two launch into a dizzying series of rapid-fire passes to keep the ball away from Team Red’s pressing defense. Meanwhile, Isagi actively hunts for a pocket of open space to receive the final pass and bury the crucial goal.
Isagi positions himself just outside Team Red’s penalty box, his back to the goal. Rin suddenly materializes behind him and mocks, “How long are you going to keep passing it around like that? Do you even have the right to call yourselves strikers?”
Spotting a massive pocket of open space right behind Rin, Isagi screams for a pass from Bachira. He explodes into a sprint toward that very spot, cutting deep into Team Red’s penalty box. Yet, Rin matches his pace instantly, running parallel to him. “Did you really think you found a good position?” Rin sneers condescendingly. He advises Isagi to go read a book on how the human eye works, casually dismissing him as “pathetic.”
Isagi is horrifyingly shocked to realize he never actually shook Rin off; Rin had read his entire run before he even made it. Rin leaps alongside Isagi and seamlessly intercepts Bachira’s pass with a flawless chest trap. In that agonizing microsecond, the truth crashes down on Isagi: Rin had deliberately baited him into running into that “open” space. He had manipulated Isagi like a puppet, funneling him exactly where he wanted so he could easily steal the ball.
Isagi finally understands that his vision isn’t controlling the pitch—Rin’s vision is utterly dominating the entire game. Crushed by frustration, Isagi realizes the colossal, seemingly insurmountable gap in skill between them. The disparity is so vast it borders on despair. Yet, amidst the crushing weight of his impending defeat, Isagi feels a strange paradox: his eyes and heart are utterly captivated by Rin’s breathtaking brilliance.
Rin drives the ball toward Team White’s goal. Nagi launches a desperate tackle, but Rin effortlessly hurdles over him. With impossibly fluid agility, Rin glides right past Bachira’s attempted block, leaving him completely paralyzed. Unopposed, Rin pulls the trigger from outside the penalty box and buries the final shot. The score hits 5-2, cementing Team Red as the undisputed victors.
9. Aryu Jyubei & Tokimitsu Aoshi Want Bachira Meguru
Aryu asks which player from Team White they should recruit. Indifferent to the choice, Rin leaves the decision entirely in the hands of Aryu and Tokimitsu. Both immediately agree on the exact same target: Bachira, prizing his phenomenal passing ability.
Tokimitsu points out that Team Red currently only excels in isolated individual talent, while Aryu craves Bachira as a stylish playmaker to feed him glamorous assists. Without hesitation, Rin orders Bachira to stop stalling and follow them to the Fourth Stage, coldly asserting that Bachira’s future is now in his hands.
10. Bachira Meguru Bids Farewell to Isagi Yoichi
Head bowed, Bachira confesses how badly he wanted to keep playing with Isagi until the very end. With a heavy heart, he bids Isagi farewell, warning him that he won’t wait around. If Isagi truly wants him back, he will have to fight his way up and steal him back from Rin’s team.
Bachira walks away, leaving Isagi and Nagi behind in the empty room. In that crushing silence, Isagi realizes he must claw his way back to the top to reclaim the irreplaceable partner that was just torn away from him.
